New Ideas
I'm currently working on a cityscape silhouette of Ostell. It'll take a while, I think. I'll also be making some more character busts. Wishing everyone a fun Fourth of July weekend!

Marion and Enker
Upon hearing of her love's death, Mary flees Ostell for her life, afraid she is somehow to blame for Mekin's end. Traveling for some time with a group of people who are on a pilgrimage to the sea, she parts ways and meets Enker, a man who hears her lamentable tale and wishes to help her. Convincing her to return to Ostell to see her love's resting place and find closure, Enker and Marion begin a two week journey. Here, they rest, Enker crouching down to pass a canteen of water.
Zekhiamin Hunts
Could he have found Mekin's killer? He won't be resting a wink until he does, and Marion is on his list of people to find and question. If anyone is wondering, the Zehils come from a family of winged people. These wings, they will into being whenever they have use of them, although they try their best to hide them at all costs.
Demon Hunter Zekhiamin
This is Mekin's fanatical uncle, Zekhiamin Zehil, who was once a member of Ostell's Holy Guard. Now, he roams the countryside, ferreting out what his confused mind considers to be "demons" or "tainted ones." The death of his wife during childbirth caused his mind to snap. He has learned the ways of entering people's minds, and is a force to be reckoned with.

Beginning at the beginning
Hello, everyone! I've started this blog in hopes of getting some useful critiques of my work-I've been out of college for a year now and miss having my teachers around. Although I make silhouettes in my spare time, as a hobby, I would someday love to include them in my larger body of work-make them gallery worthy and bring a fresh take on this traditional art into the world.
I have many inspirations. I follow the work of Kara Walker, Lotte Reiniger, Andy Smetanka and Michel Ocelot, along with all of the other silhouette artists of the past.
Please, enjoy your stay here, enter my world of black and white and give suggestions!
